Learning Disability Health Checks

People with a learning disability often have difficulty in recognising illness, communicating their needs and accessing health services.  Research shows that regular health checks for people with learning disabilities often uncover treatable health conditions but also helps familiarise people with the GP surgery so that it is not such a strange place if visits are required for a new health condition.

At Moulton Surgery we are now starting to offer an annual health check to patients who have been assessed as having a mild, moderate or severe learning disability.  Patients will receive a letter inviting them to book an appointment for such a check.  Attendance is not compulsory but encouraged to help us help you.
