Making an appointment 

To book an appointment telephone 01604 644126. You may book with any doctor, not only the one with whom you are registered. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel it by telephoning the surgery so another patient may use the appointment.

Please try to avoid booking non urgent or follow up appointments on Monday which is our busiest day.

You may book appointments up to 3 weeks in advance and we also have a few appointments, for booking 48 hours in advance.

Our nurses run a daily triage clinic for patients with an urgent problem. You will be asked to come to the surgery where a nurse will see you. If she is unable to deal with your problem she will be able to ask a doctor to see you. 

Telephone Access to GPs and Nurses 

Patients are able to speak to GPs and nurses at various times during the day, but may be asked to call back or may be asked to leave a number so that the doctor or nurse may call them back when they are not in surgery.

Home Visits

These may be booked for those unable to travel to the surgery due to illness or infirmity. Requests for visits should be made as early as possible in the day and preferably by 11.00 a.m.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
